About Jack Sommer

After losing and making enough money as a trader, I eventually became emotionally detached from any financial gain or loss. What once pumped adrenaline through my veins, the act of making money, became no more emotionally eventful that a nice deep breath. Making money used to be my primary motivator, but once I became emotionally detached from it, I found that a lot of what I was doing in my life suddenly lacked meaning. After many months of self reflection and searching, I discovered that I really enjoyed working for the benefit of the people I care about, and for humanity as a whole. I found myself feeling more alive than ever and excited to work nonstop when I cared about the people I was doing it for. I had never before been so overwhelmed by joy to pour my heart and soul into everything I was doing. I won\'t ever apply to a company that I don\'t have a burning passion to work for, because I believe that you have to truly love what you\'re doing in order to be great at it. I want to work in a fast paced, innovative environment, for a company that is mission driven and strives to have a large positive impact on humanity as a whole. I am the type of person who never wants to retire, because it doesn\'t make sense to give up doing what I love.
