About Jack Deutsch
I am currently a student at the Kelley School of Business, pursuing a degree in Information Systems. Throughout my life, I have constantly looked for new and creative business opportunities out of anything. My business ventures have evolved over time. They started as small as buying fidget spinners and reselling them to students at school. As I\'ve gotten older, I entered the sneaker-buying and reselling market and grew my landscaping business by going door-to-door, trying to find potential customers. While in high school, I obtained a fundamental understanding of what leadership means. I participated in two varsity-level sports, hockey and golf, all four years. I was looked up to and relied upon, which taught me to make important decisions for the greater good of my teams. I always kept my composure and never cracked under pressure. I recognized my mistakes and used them as learning opportunities. I also took on leadership opportunities through Parkway Path, which recruits high school students to educate younger students in the Parkway School District. I learned how to facilitate meaningful lessons ranging from smoking prevention to character education through age-appropriate conversations. Lastly, I was actively engaged in Student Council as a delegate which helped me learn how to plan, organize, and lead sponsored events. These experiences and accomplishments have been the foundation of my leadership and ingenuity skills. I look forward to pursuing opportunities that will allow me to build upon the skills and relationships I have created.
