ABOUT JACK LEONARD

You know the satisfaction you get from finally untying a complicated knot? That\'s how I think it should feel to work in customer success for a technology company. You might say I have an unhealthy habit of running toward the big problems, but my clients tend to like that about me.I like change. If I\'m not a little uncomfortable, I know I\'m not learning enough. That attitude has driven my entire career - from diving into an industry right out of college that nobody I knew was interested in or connected to, to moving to the bleeding edge of the ad tech market by joining The Trade Desk, to accepting a transfer promotion to manage the client services operation in five Asian markets where I didn\'t speak the languages.Personal change may be fun for me, but I know that changes in a business, particularly onboarding new technology, can feel like a burden. It makes a huge difference to have tech partners who listen and prioritize your brand\'s business goals. I enjoy building client service teams that do just that, who can represent the best of our technology to our clients and persuasively advocate for our clients to the teams building the product.I feel most at home in a fast-growing company with teammates whose humility and passion for excellence vibes with my own.In 2021, my wife and I took advantage of a natural break in both of our careers to travel the US. We bought a converted van and planned a trip across the country, spending time in as many National Parks as possible, backpacking, biking and hiking. Following that trip, I took an additional six months for myself to pursue personal writing projects and tutor local kids in my neighborhood whose reading skills were falling behind grade level. I love talking about my sabbatical, so if you need any tips on full time van life or planning a trip to a National Park, I would love to connect.
