ABOUT JIAQI WU

Jia-Qi is a Corporate Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement Advisor at Health Canada, specializing in pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting. She previously worked as a Product Information (Label) reviewer for the Pharmaceutical Drugs Directorate, assessing pre-market and post-market drug submissions for prescription drugs.With a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto (2011) and an MBA from the University of Ottawa (2018), Jia-Qi combines her expertise in healthcare, regulatory affairs, and business strategy. Her MBA studies, with a focus on management consulting, included an internship as an IT analyst at Shared Services Canada, leading to her career in the Government of Canada.Before transitioning to regulatory roles, Jia-Qi was the pharmacist-owner of two Shoppers Drug Mart locations, gaining hands-on experience in business and retail management. She also worked as a consultant for Correctional Service Canada, supporting the procurement and implementation of health technology solutions, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and pharmacy dispensing systems.Jia-Qi is passionate about leveraging her healthcare knowledge, regulatory expertise, and business acumen to drive innovation, improve patient outcomes, and create value for organizations.
