I give employers advice in plain English on how to meet their legal responsibilities towards their staff. Recent projects have included- Co-authoring a concise book on Preventing Harassment with Daniel Barnett, one of the UK\'s best known employment barristers - Writing a webinar for law firms to give their clients on Practical Steps to Prepare for the Employment Rights Act 2025 - Contributing to Daniel Barnett\'s HR Inner Circular magazine (hrinnercircle.co.uk), writing audio seminars for subscribers on a wide range of topics, and updating, simplifying and reworking other resources (including course materials and a book) Since 2018, I’ve been editor-in-chief of HR Adviser published by Agora Business Publications. In a readers\' survey, 7 in 10 subscribers rated HR Adviser’s coverage of news, trends and employment law developments as 5 out of 5. I was joint editor of Agora’s Mental Health Adviser between January 2021 and the end of 2024. For more than 22 years, I edited Legalease’s Employment Law Journal. This involved commissioning and editing articles from the UK\'s top employment lawyers and rising stars. I’ve done research, writing and editing for numerous other business and legal journals, magazines, online publications and books. Over the years, I’ve covered employment law, HR, employee wellbeing, flexible working, health and safety, occupational health and premises management. I’m the director of the Write Solutions, which I established in 2006.
