About Jacqueline Hanzal

Growing up I loved exploring the woods, bird watching, and searching the hillside for agates. Inspired by my passion for the environment, nature, wildlife, and animals, I now dedicate my professional life to making environmentally conscious choices easier and more inclusive for companies and professionals. As a Director at U.S. Green Building Council, I support my team and our clients in building a sustainable and healthy future through active listening and curiosity, education, resources, and removing obstacles. In my spare time, in addition to experimenting with challenging, creative, and delicious plant-based recipes, I still explore the woods with as much fervor and curiosity as a kid.

   Direct, mentor, and lead staff to provide customer guidance on LEED credentials (exams, maintenance, and renewals), Zero Waste certification and professional certificates, and green building education to architects, engineers, contractors, health and wellness professionals, and environmental consultants. Lead Outreach team to increase membership, community, and credential holder engagement and strengthen relationships with our clients, community, and stakeholders. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to invest in the continuous improvement process for LEED and other rating system guidance.
