Putting people first. As Executive Director, Jaclyn is responsible for administrative and professional oversight in planning, directing, and coordinating the Authority’s various housing programs while ensuring compliance with HUD regulations. Her fiscal responsibility includes a $7 million budget and over $45 million in assets. The current VHA portfolio consists of 16 Low Income Public Housing properties with 740 units. In addition to these multi-family rental communities, VHA administers over 450 tenant-based vouchers and a rental assistance program for homeless veterans. VHA also administers a HUD Resident Opportunities for Self Sufficiency Program for residents of the Low Income Public Housing Program. Jaclyn’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Jaclyn represents east-central Illinois on the Illinois Association of Housing Authorities and the Associated Housing Risk Management Association boards. On the local level, Jaclyn is a current board member of the Danville Area Community College Foundation, the Vermilion Healthcare Foundation, Balloons Over Vermilion, Vermilion Advantage, and the Danville Public Library Foundation. Her past service includes Keep Vermilion County Beautiful, the Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vermilion County.
