The Voice Lab utilizes teaching techniques derived from voice and speech therapy, classical Bel Canto, and 21st-century contemporary methods to provide students with a diverse and evolving palate of learning options.Autonomy and flexibility characterize this new studio and its faculty, who strive to grow with and support the diverse community of singers and voice users in Chicago. In addition to singing lessons, The Voice Lab provides services for pre- and postoperative voice patients and transgender clients seeking to redefine their vocal identity. We believe in creating a safe environment where students can learn according to their own unique needs. Singing involves more than just technique, however, and students at The Voice Lab develop artistry and musicality along with muscle coordination and resonance.
