I joined the Foundation Board as vice chair in 2019 and became board chair a year later—just as the world shifted with the pandemic. Despite the challenges, we achieved transformational growth. During my tenure, we expanded from a staff of one to four full-time employees, nearly doubled our budget to more than $1.14 million, and grew our programs to expand access for girls in grades K–12. I drew on my coaching background to strengthen collaboration, accountability, and leadership across the board and staff.
