ABOUT JACKIE SCHAPANSKY

As a Senior Director at Manitoba Métis Federation, I have years of experience in the non-profit sector, leading the Early Learning and Child Care department. I hold a Degree in Business Administration, a Life Coach certification and I am pursuing an MBA in Business, enhancing my skills and knowledge in corporate strategy and business development. These competencies enable me to empower and support our Red River Métis communities, advancing their rights, interests, and well-being. In my current role, I collaborate with various stakeholders, partners, and funders to develop and implement policies, programs, and services that meet the needs and aspirations of the Métis children and families. I also develop and oversee the budget, operations, and staff of the department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accountability. Prior to this role, I gained valuable insights in business development, marketing, and networking as a Director of Early Learning and Child Care at the same organization, and as a Business Resource Manager at The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. I am always eager to learn new things, contribute to the social and economic development of the Red River Métis, and uphold the values and culture of the MMF National Government of the Red River Métis.
