About Jacki Zehner
I am the founder of SheMoney, a Utah-based company dedicated to advancing women’s financial agency and wealth through content, community, and consulting. Born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, my first love was horses. That passion eventually shifted to bodybuilding, where I twice earned the title of Ms. Junior Canada. I excelled academically throughout high-school and college, and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a business degree and finance major in 1988. Upon graduation, I was recruited by Goldman Sachs in New York City to join its mortgage finance department. In 1996, at 32, I became the youngest woman and the first female trader to be named a partner. Most of my career was spent in mortgage-backed trading, followed by two years in the executive office, where I helped manage the careers of the firm’s managing directors. I also served on the Partnership Committee, overseeing the firm’s people processes, and played a pivotal role in launching ASCEND: A Goldman Sachs Leadership Exchange in 2002—to create community amongst Goldman\'s top female clients. After Goldman, I became a founding partner at Circle Financial Group, a multi-family office, and served on the boards of numerous women-focused nonprofits, including the National Council for Research on Women, The Women’s Funding Network, and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In 2009, I embarked on a transformative chapter by joining Women Moving Millions (WMM), a campaign encouraging women to make million-dollar gifts to women-focused organizations. I later led the organization as it transitioned into a permanent entity and was honored for my multi-year contributions by being named the organization\'s Co-Founder alongside Helen LaKelly Hunt. I remain very engaged philanthropically through our family foundation, The Jacquelyn and Gregory Zehner Foundation. I am an active early-stage investor, backing women and BIPOC founders through both direct investments and funds. My portfolio includes over 20 companies, with early success stories like LearnVest. My current investments include Apolitical, Chief, Hello Alice, Known, SmartPurse, and Uplevyl, as well as Utah-based companies Rasa and Redemption Bank.(see jackizehner.com) I am honored to be the recipient of numerous national and global awards for my work and commitment to advancing women and girls. It is an honor to do what I do—sometimes we choose our paths, and other times, our paths choose us.
