About Jack T. Gonyea
Currently, I am a first-year student at New England Law. I hope to work as a litigator for a firm either in the Boston area or the Minneapolis area. So far law school has been an invigorating experience that I have enjoyed thoroughly. Prior to law school, I attended Indiana University\'s Kelley School of Business. During my time there I earned a major in Finance and a co-minor in Economics and Political Science. In my junior year at Indiana University the team I was on won first place in the iCore case competition. This competition involved around 200 teams that were tasked with evaluating a product expansion for a company on multiple components. The skills I attained in Finance will allow me to do things in the legal world I otherwise wouldn\'t be able to do. Before my time at Indiana University, I was raised in a suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. I have enjoyed all the places that I have lived and am excited to see what the future brings.
Experience
Umpire
Apr 2015 — Present · Minneapolis, MN, US
As an umpire in youth baseball I am responsible for keeping the game civil and fair. I ensure that I know each leagues rule book top to bottom so I don\'t make mistakes on the field. I do many more things such as- Adhering to and enforcing game rules and regulations- Executing high-pressure decisions, including awarding of points and imposition of penalties under time constraints- Managing behavior of players, coaches and crowd to facilitate gameplay.
