About Jack W Britts
Mr. Britts brings with him a wealth of experience developed during a multi-faceted 30+ year domestic and international bio-pharmaceutical career. Jack currently serves as a thought partner and strategic consultant to the CEO, the President of Client Services and the Chief Strategy Officer at The Colony Group, a Boston based wealth management company with over $20 billion in assets under management, Jack is also currently active in the private sector, serving as an investor and advisor at numerous privately held companies and currently serves on the board of directors of HealthWarehouse.com (HEWA) AZOVA and Cheryl Lee MD Sensitive Skin Care https://cherylleemd.com/. Jack has extensive experience in the not-for-profit realm formerly serving as President and Chair of the non-profits, Friends of the PMBL (Philadelphia Men’s Basketball League) and The Presbyterian Counseling Center. In previous full-time roles, Jack served as Co-Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Crown Laboratories, a privately held, fully integrated pharmaceutical company, and the maker of Blue Lizard Sunscreens and the Strivectin Skin Care franchise. Prior to Crown, Mr. Britts was President and CEO of Merz Pharmaceuticals LLC a privately held multinational pharmaceutical company specializing in Neurology and Dermatology. Before to moving to Greensboro Jack spent 7 years in Boston at Sepracor (now Sunovian), where he led the commercial activities of the company overseeing the development and launches of multiple products including Xopenex and Lunesta growing the company from $30 million to $1.2 billion. From 1986 to Mr. Britts held various positions within AstraZeneca PLC, where he last served as Vice President, Therapeutic Area Leader Gastrointestinal Products (Prilosec and Nexium) a $5 billion business unit. Jack played a key role in the integration of the two companies leading the work streams for the commercial operating model, portfolio prioritization and salesforce rationalization. Prior to the Astra and Zeneca merger, he held many positions within Zeneca, including Sales, Marketing, Product and Portfolio Management, as well as an international assignment serving as General Manager for the businesses in Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey, Middle East, and Africa. Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Richmond and The Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
