About Jack Beck

I have 20 years of experience in supporting nonprofits to scale up and amplify their impact in the fields of health, social justice, and community development. For the last 10 years I served as the Founder and Executive Director of TurnOut, a statewide organization that supports volunteers and board members working with LGBTQ+ nonprofits. In that time, we recruited more than volunteers across California to support more than 250 nonprofits serving queer and trans communities within the state and beyond. We also developed and implemented TurnOut\'s suite of Queer Board programs, which match, train, and mentor queer and trans leaders to serve on nonprofit boards. I currently serve as TurnOut\'s Board Chair, as well as Executive Director of the newly founded SF Street Fair Coalition. At TurnOut we are expanding our services to cover a wide range of needs for small grassroots organizations, from fundraising support to administrative operations.    SF Pride is dedicated to creating a vibrant and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. As the largest gathering of the LGBTQ+ community and allies in the nation, our annual celebration brings together over 200 parade contingents and exhibitors, and features many community-run stages and venues. Our mission is to create a space where everyone can come together to celebrate, honor, and uplift the diversity of our community. We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community through a variety of programs, events, and advocacy work. We have worked tirelessly to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility, and to create a more inclusive and equitable world for all. Our annual parade and festival bring together over a million people from around the world to celebrate the beauty and resilience of our community.
