About Jack Batson
I am in my third year as an undergraduate student at Ohio University’s College of Business majoring in accounting, minoring in marketing and pursuing a certificate in consumer research. I have the ability to be both detail-oriented and people-oriented simultaneously. As a detail-driven yet people-focused student, I learn to make complex information clear and actionable in my college courses so I can obtain the ability to present this information to future clients and teams in the workplace. This spring, I’m currently serving as a student Research Fellow for OU\'s Center for Consumer Research and Analytics collecting valuable qualitative and quantitative data for PNC Bank. I also was selected for an internship in Costa Rica through OU called the Global Consulting Program, where I performed extensive research and analyzed the tourism industry while consulting for a client located near Manuel Antonio National Park.I have spent a large portion of my time at Ohio University helping others. I currently work as an accounting tutor through the Learning Commons office at OU’s Alden Library. This past fall, I served in the Learning Communities program by leading a Learning Community of students in the Chaddock and Morrow College of Fine Arts. I also currently serve as a member of the OHIO Honors Program and the Singing Men of OHIO.My interests include auditing/assurance services, financial/marketing analytics, and consulting. I crave the certainty in which information is organized properly and professionally with full accountability.
