About Jack Wright

As a Recruiter for the South Dakota Army National Guard, I help people find fulfilling and rewarding careers in the military. I generate leads, contact, interview, and advise civilian personnel on the benefits and opportunities of joining the Guard, achieving 120% of my assigned mission for FY23. I also build and maintain relationships with various community stakeholders, such as schools, businesses, public offices, and media outlets, to promote the Guard as an employer of choice.In addition to my recruiting role, I am also a Cavalry Scout Team Leader, where I lead and supervise a team of five individuals in conducting critical reconnaissance and surveillance missions. I apply my tactical and strategic planning and decision-making skills to optimize team performance and resource allocation, resulting in successful mission completion and a strong safety and equipment accountability record. I also train and mentor my team members in best practices and technical skills, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Prior to joining the Guard, I worked as a Professional Recruiter at Accelerate Talent Group, where I managed end-to-end recruitment for IT positions, such as software developers, system administrators, network engineers, and more. I sourced, interviewed, and assessed candidates based on their technical skillsets and cultural fit, collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and preferences. I utilized an Applicant Tracking System to track the hiring process and maintain candidate records.I have completed several military courses and trainings, including Advanced Leaders Course, Heavy Weapons Leader\'s Course, the Military Recruiting Course, and the Basic Leader\'s Course. I have also acquired multiple skills, such as lead management, recruiting, high stress environment, communication systems, and technology.I am passionate about helping people achieve their personal and professional goals, and I am always eager to learn new things and challenge myself. I enjoy meeting and connecting with people from different backgrounds and perspectives, and I value teamwork, collaboration, and commitment.
