ABOUT JACK WANG
Dr. Wang obtained his M.D. from China Medical University in Taiwan, and obtained Master Degree at McGill University in cytogenetic studies of ovarian cancers. He obtained Ph.D. at McGill University focusing on a tumor suppressor gene study for prostate cancer. He obtained clinical fellowship training in Clinical Cytogenetics (20••••04) at UBC and Molecular Genetics (20••••08) at U of Toronto, and dual-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). He also obtained the Licensure from the State of California for Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Cytogenetics) in 2012, Clinical Cytogeneticist in 2016, and Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist in 2017. He also obtained the license of Laboratory Director, Cytogenetics and Genetic Testing, from New York State Department of Health.He was an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 2005, and promoted to associate professor in 2011 before moving to USA. During the 6 years of academic position at McMaster University in Canada, he also worked as the Head of Clinical Cytogenetics Laboratory for signing out prenatal, postnatal and oncological cases. He also supervised several 4th year honor-program undergraduate students for thesis projects, served as tutor in the problem-based learning (PBL) sessions for undergraduate MD program, provided lectures to undergraduate, graduate, medical students, residents and fellows. In 2014, He was appointed as visiting associate professor by the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine, at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan, and gave multiple lectures in prenatal screening, diagnosis, postnatal diagnosis, genetic studies of hematological malignancies and cancer panels.
