ABOUT JACK THARP

I am a second-year student at Dalhousie University in the Bachelor of Commerce of program, majoring in Accounting. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.95, receiving the honour of making the Dean\'s List every semester. Throughout my university experience so far, I have gained knowledge and skills in Excel, basic accounting, marketing, and economics. I am eager to broaden my experience and knowledge in these subjects as well as others in my future years at Dalhousie. Aside from academics, I am on the Executive team of both the Dalhousie Football Club and the Dalhousie Sports Business Society.During high school, I have had numerous jobs working as a Ski and Swim Instructor. These positions taught me valuable skills such as time management, attention to detail, working as a part of a team and reporting to my supervisors, the value of hard work, and overall experience as an employee of an organization. I am also extremely passionate about sports and sports business, with a constantly growing interest in a career in this field. I am looking forward to combine my knowledge and love for professional sports with my communication, leadership, and analytical skills to contribute to an organization or media company.My long-term goal would be to work in a number of different high-profile positions in the industry, including management and analysis of transactions, news, and statisticsI am always looking for new opportunities to help myself become integrated in the many facets of the sports business and accounting industries and would love to connect with individuals who have insights and expertise to share.
