About Jack Tarricone
I\'m a snow hydrologist and Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland, College Park, Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory. My research aims to improve our understanding of the water cycle in snow-dominated regions by integrating remote sensing, in situ measurements, and modeling. My recent work has advanced synthetic aperture (SAR) radar–based methods for monitoring snow water equivalent (SWE) using both airborne and spaceborne platforms. I lead the NASA InSAR SWE Working Group and serve on the Snow International (SINTER) Executive Committee.
