Serves as the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB)’s Director of Administration responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the management and support of the human capital and physical support services of the Agency. Oversees and manages through subordinate directors and management and program officials the following functions and activities: human resources, acquisition management, public affairs, real and personal property, and printing and mail administration. As the Director of Administration, maintains overall programmatic responsibility and carries out managerial and supervisory responsibilities over assigned organizations including goal and objective setting, formulating long-range plans, establishing performance standards and expectations tied to the agency’s mission, maintaining accountability for assigned programs and roles, evaluating employee performance, ensuring staff training, resolving problems, and initiating or reviewing and approving disciplinary actions. Evaluates the effectiveness of the assigned programs in meeting objectives and takes appropriate action to remedy programmatic deficiencies. Establishes and maintains liaison with officials throughout the agency and in other Federal agencies to further the RRB’s mission, initiatives, and objectives. Serves as the RRB’s Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO). Advises the Executive Committee (EC) and the Board offices on program initiatives, development, design, implementation and status of programs and policies under my purview. Serves as a member of the EC.
