ABOUT JACK SCHEGGIA

As bids manager it is my responsibility to create proposals, respond to tenders, conduct reports and liaise with customers, colleagues and vendors. When creating proposals it is fundamental for me to have the technical knowledge required for VDI, VSAN, Cloud and other projects; this can include but is not limited to VMware software, professional services, Dell server, storage and networking. In regards to tenders, I respond to everything between the PQQ and ITT stages. I provide company information, answer all questions, find solutions with assistance from technical consultants and create proposals and quotations. My thoroughness and keen eye for detail is imperative when responding to tenders. I currently provide monthly reports for Phoenix, Dell and Getech that list the values of outstanding and closed deals. Conducting reports of this nature requires me to be highly organised and timely in order to meet deadlines. This level of astuteness is also crucial when working on deals, as it is my responsibility to project manage and allocate tasks to technical consultants, account managers and vendor contacts. An additional aspect of my liaising is to build and maintain vendor relations, in order to lay the foundation for future cooperation and negotiations.
