Software Engineer, excited to see applications I’ve written in the hands of real users. Committed to follow best practices, including TDD and SOLID principles, to write excellent quality software.As a Software Engineer I have worked with various technologies and have experience:• Writing back-end services & REST APIs in Java/Spring and Go.• Writing Go code with concurrency in mind.• Creating front-end applications in React JS, utilising Redux and React-Bootstrap.• Unit testing my code using JUnit & Jest.• Using CI/CD tools to iteratively build and deploy applications to the cloud.• Working with several database management systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server.• Writing database migration scripts with Flyway to keep changes versioned.I have worked closely with clients ranging from a major online challenger bank, an online pharmacy and a major online betting company.I love to work collaboratively and I’m very easy to get along with. I’m always looking to learn from others and eager to share my own knowledge. I spend my spare time tutoring others who are working towards creating a career in software engineering and I also play in a band!
