About Jack Pelkey
My career encompasses 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. My Technical background includes Product Engineering Design and Development in Braking Systems, Electronic Brake Controls, Steel and Air Suspension Systems, Frames/Cradles/Structure, Active Chassis Controls, Hydraulic & Electric Steering. I also have experience in Vehicle Level Development Engineering, and Product Launch Engineering. My leadership roles have included Brake Design/Development Supervisor, Brake Engineering Manager, Product Responsible Manager (Chassis Team Program Manager), Engineer Manager responsible for Suspension Engineering, Director for Chassis Suspension, Wheels & Tires, and C&D PM Director in the North American Technical Center, Stellantis. In addition to a Technical Engineering Background, I have been in a people management role for the last 27 years, responsible for the leadership of an engineering team at all times.In my present role, I am responsible for the suspension, wheel and tire development on all North American products including our key brands of Jeep/RAM/Dodge/Chrysler. Our key brands demand specific objectives be met for high vehicle performance both on road and off road. Those objectives have driven my team to develop best in class chassis systems to enable the success of our vehicle portfolio. In addition, I am responsible for the Global Technical Function of Suspension, Wheels and Tires for the RWD/AWD vehicles.
