ABOUT JACK PARKER
An experienced Support Engineer and self-starter, who since returning from 2 years of travel abroad in Asia and Australia, has been forging my pathway as a Cyber Security Professional.Since returning from my travels in early 2020, I decided to make a career change into Cyber Security and have been working both on and off the job to cultivate my interest and technical skills in the Cyber Security field, which has fast turned a lucrative career aspiration into a full-blown passion.I began by studying with The Learning People, achieving several certifications whilst working part-time and full-time jobs to support my learning. During my studies, I also began working for claireLOGIC, where I have managed to cultivate and nurture self-learned theory with hands-on experience – achieving several Certifications along the way. In my role, I handle general IT support to a wide range of clients, maintain servers, Active Directory, 365 and Azure implementations as well as backups. More recently I have taken lead roles in rolling out and maintaining several Vulnerability Management, SIEM, disaster mitigation, and threat management solutions for their clients.Since I have been pursuing Cyber, I have been constantly trying to hone my knowledge and develop my skills with continued self-study through courses that I seek out myself, or self-setup practical labs. My interests seem pulled in many directions of the industry the more I learn, and hopefully, as I gain experience and exposure to the industry the list will become more refined; however, I hope to work future job roles in Red Teaming and as a Penetration Tester.Certifications;• CompTIA: A+, Network+, Security+, PenTest+• ECC-CEHv11• Azure FundamentalsCurrently Studying: • Hack the Box -(CPTS) Certified Penetration Testing SpecialistSide Projects: • Python• Hack the Box rooms.I describe myself as an effective communicator and a team player, having worked across several projects in my current role, working with colleagues and clients to communicate and solve problems that arrive with current and new technical solutions. I like to think that I always try to innovate new ways to solve problems and hopefully have a laugh whilst doing so.My interests are Rock Climbing, Video games, Board Games, and Rugby, and I also love a pint and a bit of traveling where I can. Please feel free to get in touch.
