ABOUT JACK MORLEY

Currently working as Lawyer, Corporate, Technology & Operations for BBC Studios dealing with technology, procurement and content operations legal matters. I provide support on technology and content operations projects, working closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure effective negotiation and timely completion of the contracts required.Formerly Legal Counsel at Oddschecker Global Media, I worked advising the group on a wide range of commercial legal matters in the sport, media, betting and casino betting market.Previous in-house professional experience at The University of Law as Supervising Solicitor and in private practice as a Corporate Solicitor advising on a wide range of Corporate and Commercial transactions including, amongst others, acquisitions and disposals of shares and assets, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, distribution agreements and terms of business. My work included assisting with management buy-outs and buy-ins, reorganisations and restructuring and refinances for corporates and owner-managed businesses. I also assisted with attaining charitable status for organisations not currently registered and with changing structure for those that are.I have also been a Visiting Lecturer teaching Business Law & Practice and Mergers & Acquisitions on the LPC at The University of Law.I completed my Law degree at the University of Southampton in 2015 before undertaking the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Birmingham from September 2015- June 2016. I trained as a solicitor at mfg Solicitors LLP from September 2016-August 2018 before qualifying in to the Corporate team in September 2018. I practiced here until December 2019, when I decided to take a short career break to travel. I joined the University of Law as the Pro Bono Co-ordinator & Supervising Solicitor in July 2020 before taking up the additional role as a Visiting Lecturer in October 2020. I moved to OGM in July 2022 before moving to BBC Studios in March 2023.
