Surface Engineer @JLR
Gaydon, GB
I work with ICEM Surf striving to make digital 3D surfaces align with the design intent while adhering to manufacturing feasibility requirements. I love this challenge. The work is engaging with ongoing discussions between design and engineering to achieve a balance between both of their needs. With each new task I become more efficient in my modelling process, learning new tools and techniques, and developing my skills to become a world class digital 3D surface engineer.

ABOUT JACK MINESS
Welcome to my page. I am always looking for new and interesting people to connect with. I work as a Design Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover.I have always been interested in how things work, and endeavour to create. Making an electric guitar in school and fabricating a 50cc trike in college. Making my ideas come to life is what drives me.From college, I worked summers at Formaplex Ltd. as a trainee tool maker. This experience provided insight into the design feasibility and manufacturing process within an industry setting. I knew I had to harness my creativity, so I enrolled in Automotive and Transport Design at Coventry University. This gave me room to explore beyond creative boundaries, pushing the limits of design feasibility solutions. From my time at Coventry University, I found my spark for digital 3D modelling, where I specialised in Autodesk Alias while earning my MA in Automotive and Transport Design.Throughout my experiences, the best has always come from clear and concise goals, with achievable aims and an actionable plan. Having achieved my goal of entering this amazing industry in 2023. My goals now, continue gaining experience in ICEM Surf, increase my breadth of knowledge in manufacturing processes, aiding the efficiency of component design.
