Responsible to build a new operation for GDI Pumps, starting from design processes stage going through manufacture and assemble the GDi Pumps with high quality and low cost-Create machine specifications and purchase new equipment to produce GDi pump assemblies as well as perform the testing and qualification for new machines to ensure capability to perform to specifications-Support manufacturing plant during start-up phase of project by meeting all targets for scrap, people, quality, volume, and cost for new GDi pump assembly lines, proposing cost reduction and quality improvements projects to GDi pump processes-Collaborate with product designers and engineers to optimize product designs for manufacturability, reducing production time and improving product quality-Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline production workflows, eliminate waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)-Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and design specifications-Provide technical expertise and training to junior engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies-Conduct root cause analysis and implemented corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues and improve product reliability.
