About Jack Lopez
An East Los Angeles native, I grew up in an environment that offers various opportunities to those who seek it. I attended East Los Angeles Community College after not being as academically involved as my peers in high school. I earned the opportunity to attend the University of California at Los Angeles through a program called Center for Community and College Partnership, and it opened my eyes to higher education. I then attended the University of California at Riverside to complete my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I was fortunate enough to be a research assistant in the Childhood Cognition Lab at the Psychology department and grew to enjoy working with children. Having two children myself, i needed a job and fell into a role as a Behavior Technician in 2017. I started to explore the philosophy of behavior. I realized some of my behaviors needed reduction, and i needed to acquire certain skills as a father. Once i was able to make socially significant modifications to my behavior as a Dad and a professional, i gained the knowledge and ability to modify behavior in others. I fell in love with the science, it was like “magic”. I attended Arizona State University for my graduate work and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.\"Behavior Analysis is a lifestyle and does not finish when session ends”!
