About Jack Kapcheck

I am a senior Finance Major with a minor in Computer Science at Miami University Farmer School of Business and will be joining Fast Market Options LLC in the Chicagoland area. As a student, I have had the honor of being on the Dean\'s list for all completed semesters at Miami. This has allowed me to develop and enhance skills that I have learned through classes at Miami. I have become proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, JMP, and SQL. I participated in Miami’s Client Challenge which offered a semester-long team project that worked to present research and a solution to KeyBank. The rigorous classes at Miami coupled with Miami\'s Client Challenge have helped to strengthen my interpersonal communication, quantitative, and time management skills. I am also the director of tech strategy at the Miami Asset Management Club.At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, due to my successful track record, I was presented with a unique opportunity to manage and advise a number of portfolios for my family members. I created long-term stock portfolios that aligned with my family\'s preferred risk to produce desired results. This experience has allowed me to deepen my analytical and communication skills through portfolio advisement and analysis of company financials. This gave me the opportunity to navigate through a highly volatile market which strengthened my ability to work in a dynamic environment. The experiences and knowledge gained at Fast Market Options as an intern have continued to enhance my insight into the financial markets. I was given the opportunity to dive into the inner workings of the 233 trillion dollar credit market and equities market by executing institutional client orders. My involvement in such a firm has shown me the importance of creating interpersonal connections with clients as well as learning how our financial system operates by exploring macro and microeconomic theory through on the job experiences.The experiences I have learned through my professional journey along with my ambitious drive to graduate in three years have provided me with the valuable skills necessary to succeed at whatever is thrown my way.
