About Jack Jirak
Jack Jirak represents and counsels clients in a unique and wide range of energy-related matters involving not only traditional energy regulatory matters and litigation at a state and federal level but also cutting-edge transactional work. Jack is able to cut through the technical complexity of his client’s issues to identify simple yet effective solutions that achieve and further critical business goals. Jack’s work has included extensive involvement in state rate-making proceedings, resource certification applications and construction cost monitoring proceedings and fuel cost recovery proceedings. Jack has also worked with numerous clients in connection with the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, power purchase agreements, net metering arrangements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, operating and maintenance agreements, REC purchase agreements, emission allowance sale agreements, ISDA and EEI master agreements and related credit issues. Jack has also been actively involved in a number of RFP processes and the related negotiations. Jack has substantial experience in the state administrative appeal process, including a successful appeal to the Supreme Court of Georgia. Jack has also assisted in drafting various contracts related to the procurement and transportation of coal and other commodities related to the generation of electricity. Finally, Jack has assisted clients in various NRC investigations and counseled clients regarding NRC regulations.
