   Manage security programs for assigned King County premises, including hiring, training and evaluating subordinates, prepare unit polices and procedures, and continuous program improvement, access control, developing and preparing and implementing emergency plans, budget, conducting site security surveys, preparing building evacuation plans and overseeing equipment purchases. Administers procedures to prevent theft and workplace violence,performs investigations of theft and other criminal activities. Prepare and issues special security bulletins regarding security problems,security awareness, loss prevention, safety and/or hazards for distribution to all County departments. Prepare and review contingency plans for civil disturbance, unrest, disasters, bomb threats, fire responses, and other emergencies in County buildings. Develop, prepare and implement presentations for response to emergencies and disasters. Liaison with King County Sheriff, Seattle Police, Seattle Fire, Emergency Management agencies and local fire, rescue and police agencies. Provide protective services to customer departments and clients of divisions and county employees.
