   Lead federal and state policy efforts with regard to 340B Drug Discount Program and Medicaid, Medicaid Value-based Purchasing and Alternative Payment Arrangements, including how these programs interact with other federal programs. • Work to ensure proper implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). • Oversee the State Policy function and identified patient access and reimbursement issues impacting the biopharmaceutical industry. •Meet with legislative and regulatory staff as needed. • As staff liaison, facilitate the 340B Work Group, and the State Policy, Access, and Reimbursement Committee (PARC) and spearhead the development of BIO policies. Facilitated development of state Medicaid Pharmaceutical Best Practices in the formation of coverage criteria in the pharmacy and medical benefits. Also, worked cross-functionally to develop a strategy to advance these Best Practices in the states. • Represent BIO before third-party patient and political groups. Provided patient group updates as needed and represented BIO on appropriate patient-group committees (such as EveryLife Foundation and NORD). Also, represent BIO before third-party political umbrella groups as appropriate (such as the NAIC, NGA, NAMD and NCOIL). • Regularly coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Federal and State Government Affairs, Communications, and External Affairs teams, particularly in the development of proactive and reactive writing of statements, talking points, fact sheets, and regulatory comment letters.
