ABOUT JACK FORSTER

I began my career as a professional rugby player in 2006 at Gloucester Rugby Club. I played premiership and European rugby in my 4 year career with Gloucester, aswell as being included in the England Playing Squad and going on 2 tours with the England Saxons, winning the Churchill Cup in both England and America. Whilst at Gloucester I was also part of the European rugby Challenge Cup Winning side in 2006. I also started producing \'Big Jacks Biltong\' a dried beef snack, high in protein and ideal for athletes. This was produced back On the family farm at our butchers shop. In 2009 I moved to Sale Sharks where I played for 2 years before receiving a career ending injury to my neck. Having been diagnosed with buldging discs and being advised to retire from professional rugby I returned to the family farm. Having gained a degree in Agriculture and Land Management at Hartpury whilst playing for Gloucester I always wanted to return to the agricultural sector. We have two farms, rearing organic cattle and sheep, and a butchers shop on the farm where we retail the meat direct to the public. As part of my role at the farm I also needed to pass my HGV licence to allow me to transport both animals and forage between out farms. We also are well know on the farming community and use out flatbed lorry to trade in hay and straw which we sell and deliver to other farmers.
