I hold a B.S. in Meteorology from Virginia Tech and currently serve as an Aviation Meteorologist for a fractional private jet operator. In this role, I analyze and interpret atmospheric model data, decode METARs and TAFs, and deliver operational briefings to pilots, dispatchers, and senior leadership on both routine and high-impact weather events. My background combines technical expertise with clear communication. I am proficient in Python, SQL, and ArcGIS Pro, and use these tools to manage large datasets, conduct spatial analysis, and produce insightful visualizations. Just as importantly, I have developed the ability to translate complex meteorological information into actionable guidance for diverse audiences. I am now looking to apply this skill set more broadly within the fields of catastrophe modeling, climate risk research, and geospatial analytics. My academic and professional experiences, from forecasting tropical weather systems to completing a sustainability capstone in Peru, reflect a consistent interest in using data-driven science to inform decision-making and strengthen resilience to environmental risks. I thrive in collaborative, high-stakes environments and am motivated by opportunities to connect rigorous analysis with real-world outcomes.
