ABOUT JACK DICKENS
I am a journalist and historian with a particular interest in geopolitics, empires and the Middle East. My work has been published in, and featured by, History Today, City AM, The Week, Asia Times and Reaction. I have also appeared on TalkRadio and Monocle Radio’s The Globalist.At present, I am writing a book on the 18••••82 Urabi Revolt and the British occupation of Egypt. By drawing on previously unused British, French and Ottoman-Egyptian sources, the book will provide a new interpretation of this pivotal moment in world history.
