I am an independent Factual Writer for the highly successful website TheFactSite. Here my duties involve the selection and research of topics suited to the website’s theme of ‘fun facts’. I am the website creator’s go-to author when a special assignment is needed, this can include working on topics that are hot and trending, therefore have a tight deadline, or topics funded by external sources. I often have creative freedom over topics here, utilising my skills in writing and research to create articles that generate high readership levels. I also sometimes coordinate writers’ efforts to create ongoing article series, ensuring they are on target and delivering quality. Some key skills developed here were:Identifying Trends – Learnt to identify trending topics to produce pieces on them and up readership and revenue.Writing Adaptability – Learnt to flexibly adapt my writing style to target different audiences and match topic matter.
