ABOUT JACK COHEN
Currently serving as a Law Clerk at Long, Murphy & Shemkus, where I assist attorneys and paralegals in the practice of Family Law. I support the firm’s work in divorce, paternity, and prenuptial matters by providing organizational and administrative assistance that ensures efficient case management. I am on track to graduate in Spring 2025 with a double major in Political Science and Legal Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University, with plans to pursue law school and build a career in the legal field. In addition to academics, I am actively involved in campus life. I serve as the Treasurer for the FGCU Ice Hockey Club and am a proud member of Legal Eagles, the university’s pre-law society. I’ve also been a four-year player and team captain for FGCU’s DII Men’s Ice Hockey Team. In this leadership role, I worked with my teammates to co-found the Eagles Hockey Non-Profit Corporation, which supports the growth and financial sustainability of our club through fundraising and community engagement initiatives.
