About Jack Caffo
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at NAVWAR, I assisted government employees on projects related to military defense. I used SolidWorks to analyze and redesign an antenna radome, improving its energetic and economic efficiency by reducing the internal temperature by 5%. I also worked cross-functionally with electrical and computer science team members to create a protective case for an Arduino Uno and breadboard using SolidWorks. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world problems and contribute to innovative solutions that can benefit society. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as a passion for learning and collaboration.I graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have a strong interest in product design and testing, and I have developed my communication and organizational skills through my work in the food service industry. I also have experience in using Creo and SolidWorks, two of the most widely used CAD softwares in the engineering field.
