ABOUT JACK BRADFORD

Specialising in Court of Protection property & affairs Deputyships, I am currently a Court of Protection Executive at Enable Law having previously undertaken the same type of work at two other firms. I have over nine years’ worth of experience in working with clients of all ages that have lost capacity to manage their own financial affairs, including- Those who have suffered long lasting and often life limiting injuries such as a traumatic brain injury or Cerebral Palsy due to personal injuries or clinical negligence at birth- The more elderly and vulnerable clients who require a Deputy as a consequence of being diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimers/learning difficulties; and - Those that have mental health issues with fluctuating capacity. I have extensive experience in- Drafting applications to the Court of Protection, whether for the appointment/transfer of a Deputy, property sale/purchase or permission to litigate on behalf of P- Undertaking day to day tasks P would usually have done so if they did not lack capacity, such as managing bank accounts, arranging payments, ordering specialist equipment, preparing annual accounts/reports to the OPG and liaising with P and any other relative party- Attending MDT meetings, conferences with Counsel, local authority review meetings, best interests meetings, annual visits with P and investment beauty parades/reviews; and- Working closely with the corresponding personal injury team (where applicable) if P has an ongoing litigation claim. I have worked for multiple individually appointed Deputies and on behalf of a trust corporation.
