About Jac Zadrima

Growing up as the young son of a superintendent in an Albanian-immigrant family in Bronx multifamily buildings, I can safely say that I have been active in the New York City real estate industry since the age of 5. My initial entry into the market began after acquiring my MBA from Fordham University as a real estate salesperson for a commercial real estate brokerage and financing firm 35 years ago. Since the purchase of my first multifamily property on the steps of the Bronx courthouse in 1994, I have been involved in the acquisition, third party management, and development of hundreds of properties in the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and the Hudson Valley. My firm, Genesis Realty Group, currently controls approximately multifamily and commercial units throughout the NY Metropolitan area, with over $400M in real estate holdings. Our current portfolio consists of both Market & Rent Stabilized properties, for which we proudly utilize our extensive expertise in all related housing regulation compliance with a team of about 20+ professionals. Being full service, we offer asset and financial management, property management, advisory and development services. We also provide services for all new construction projects, mod-rehabs, and renovations. My functions range from overseeing our property management operation, development assemblage and project management, long term planning, procurement of long term financing, acquisitions, and interfacing with various City, State, and Federal Agencies. I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker, HPD Approved Property Manager and 7A Administrator, and LIHTC-TaCC certified. The position we’ve taken in elevating our properties in the realms of energy efficiency and capital improvements have earned us various industry awards while benefitting our investors, residents, and lending relationships. I sit on the boards of CHIP, BMNAR, BCHS, and am involved in various real estate organizations. I consider the acquisition, renovation, and creative financing of distressed properties to be among the most difficult and most rewarding aspect of my experience. I regard such endeavors among my greatest professional achievements. Having been the catalyst of several such transactions, although challenging, has been personally rewarding. I live in Putnam Valley with my wife and three beautiful children.
