I have a natural affinity for solving quantitative problems and a passion for design. In 2012 I graduated from The University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) with a degree in Civil Engineering. With 3 years’ practical experience in Structural Engineering, I decided by the end of 2015 to shift my focus to software engineering due to my strong interest in software development. I ventured to start my own business viz. Javus Software. It was within this vehicle that I developed Appmit, an IoT platform authorizing a user’s access into facilities using their mobile device. The software has garnered several recognitions from local small business incubation bodies.
