I solve problems for people.I always thought solving problems for others was to work as a healthcare worker and help patients recover faster. However, I realized my passion for learning instilled a hunger for challenges that physical therapy could not satiate. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that software engineering presents the opportunity to learn cutting-edge technology and has many similarities to Physical Therapy. Solving bugs and treating patients require a significant amount of critical thinking - a unit test that kept failing and a 404 Not Found page was just like a patient visiting for pain when walking. The painful sensations could point to different underlying issues, such as muscles, bones, and nerves, just like a failing test could result from syntax issues, logic problems, or undefined variables. Bugs in the code could be challenging, but I enjoy leveraging my problem-solving skills, which I have cultivated by treating patients to solve bugs. My passion for learning and solving problems drives me on my software engineering journey.
