About J. Rian Martinsen
I am a skilled HSE Professional with leadership experience in Occupational, Safety and Health Compliance, Operation Management, Retail Management, and Logistics Management. As a safety professional, I have a proven track record of improving compliance, lowering incident rates, and improved safety performance through the development and implementation of strategies that result in positive culture shift. I have a highly diverse and accomplished career which includes relevant education and twenty years of experience as a persistent and results driven EHS Manager. I am proficient in OSHA, DOT, Industrial Construction, Civil & Excavation, Electrical, and Energy. I have been an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer in General Industry from 2006 to 2023, and in Construction since 2016. I was an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician for 12 years and have been a First Aid and CPR instructor since 1998. I believe in service as I believe that it makes me a better societal participant for my community serving as a volunteer and board member for several local non-profit organizations. I currently serve on three boards; as the Vice President/President-Elect for Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County, Newport Oregon Pride, and CoastBusters Walk for Cancer. I also serve on two non-profit committees. I am a proud Navy Veteran, honorably discharged with an Active Duty Wartime Campaign Badge, Armed Forces Service Medal, and Southeast Asia Campaign Medal, and a member in good standing with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, since 2013.
