ABOUT J. LYNETTE CARTER
Lynette Carter is a seasoned civil litigation attorney with a strong focus on commercial and business litigation, as well as regulatory, administrative, and municipal matters. She represents a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, publicly and privately held companies, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and individuals in complex disputes before state and federal courts, as well as agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. Lynette provides strategic counsel to clients before litigation arises, assists with internal investigations—particularly in labor and employment matters—and has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, and settlement negotiations. Before joining Eckert Seamans, Lynette served as a prosecutor in Dauphin County, In-House Counsel for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and a Social Security Disability attorney representing clients before Administrative Law Judges nationwide. She also spent seven years at the Pennsylvania Capitol as a budget analyst for the Pennsylvania State Senate and a research analyst for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she drafted numerous state laws and resolutions. This legislative and regulatory experience makes her an asset to clients seeking assistance with policy drafting, regulatory compliance, and navigating the intersection of law and government affairs.
