ABOUT J. BRENT HELMS
In addition to being the CEO of the Helms household, I manage the HSE department at Dry Fork Mine. This includes budgeting, personnel management, ground and surface water quality, safety of dams (and impoundment inspections and designs), stormwater and NPDES SPCC, etc) design and reporting to EPA, potable water, air quality, lands, soils, reclamation and associated civil/environmental engineering/permitting, long range mine planning (including federal Resource Recovery and Protection Plans [R2P2] and Logical Mining Unit tonnages), and post mine topography. Experience with contractor management and invoicing, scheduling, utility easements, rights of way, ground and surface water rights, surface and mineral ownership, legal contracts, and client relations. Prior experience as a structural engineer (concrete, steel, masonry, soils, and timber), project management and execution of commercial and industrial construction at power plants, condominiums, hospitals, sports stadiums. Licensed professional engineer in multiple states. Proficient in AutoCAD, Carlson, GIS, as well as other various software programs.
