I am a Senior Computer Science Researcher in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA’s Ames Research Center, where I work on advanced AI systems for spaceflight and aerospace operations. My research at NASA has included:* Earth-independent operations via automated procedure generation* Autonomous systems for crewed and uncrewed spacecraft* Multi-agent planning for autonomous maintenance robots* AI-assisted safety monitoring in aviation cockpit operations* Autonomy for aircraft flight* High-fidelity simulations of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) airspace trafficI also serve as President of the International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS) and have spoken on behalf of NASA at maker and science fiction conventions (including SiliCon and ST-SF, among others).Science community engagement is a longstanding priority for me.
