About Israel Woods
5 years in total spent full time paid Volunteer ship working for Community Training works/ Young American Conservation Corps where I got to experiences and learning moments that were unforgettable and things I had never done before. First 3 years started in 2015 at 17 years old, first project was Fort Gadsden historical sight located in the Apalachicola National Forest, a very historic, spiritual and culturally significant and meaningful sight. After the summer term ended I got to travel to F.D.O.T roadside crews in Tampa and st Augustine, attend training in Galveston Texas and meet Texas Conservation corps members and staff. After maxing out Americorps ed awards terms I was co crew leader on trail crew In Leon sinks, and also later got the opportunity to get Wild and firefighter training in Florida, leave no trace, waders in the water, defensive driving to drive government forest service vehicles, and UTV training as well. I got to attempt the GCA gulf coast alliance in Texas, and the national Corps rendezvous which was an amazing opportunity and experience. After 3 years I parted ways for 2 years. After returning after those years the work was entirely new, first project bird hammock, and then EPA in st marks and work on st Vincent. After those st Augustine to learn chainlink fencing and other FDOT work which I stayed in Jacksonville to continue working in st Augustine in one of two crews they had there. I currently am pursing my art, painting sand drawings, digital editing to creat visual art, social media for art on TikTok and Snapchat public, and Instagram, every month I’ve had fundraising events based from my art projects I share, and would like if one’s were to be towrards non profits and charitable events. I am very interested in harm reduction and spreading awareness and understanding and hosting narcan giveaway events on all sides of Tallahassee, college town fsu area, the biggest part being able to spread awareness and properly explain how whatever substance used is going and how dangerous unawareness can be.
