About Izzy Gould

At a very young age, I discovered I loved working with my hands and had a creative, curious streak. On my own, I designed, built, and fixed all kinds of things. As I got older, my relationships with my brother and grandmother further nurtured these skills and interests, as they both had a creative and hands-on nature. Throughout my life, these skills have emerged as a large part of \"who I am\" …… the creativity/curiosity is my strategic thinking, and the hands-on is my tactical delivery. The combination of those emerged as a key strength; a problem-solving ability that is effective in a vast array of situations. As a finance leader, I have taken these skills, built relationships, and used them in my career to help companies establish and transform their financial results, grow revenues/profits, and become more efficient. When I walk into an environment, my curiosity and creativity emerge as I evaluate the situation, look for inefficient processes, and challenge the norm by devising alternative solutions. Throughout my career, I have led a broad range of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes and systems, and managed various sizes (~ 25 globally) and structures of teams (direct, matrixed, external). • As Global Sr. Finance Director, I designed and implemented financial systems for multiple client contracts and built and managed a cost savings program that delivered $20 million in lower costs• As Director of Corporate Systems, I brought stability by re-implementing an ERP solution • As VP Operations I turned around a struggling product line bringing about growth and profitability• As Commercial Director I was an integral part of the pursuit team awarded $650 million in contract services • Also, I have designed and managed compensation programs for 100+ personnel; performed forensic efforts delivering $4 million cash collections and identified $1 million in missing profitability• Started up a real estate development business executing on two projects encompassing ~200 home sites. These skills, passions, and motivators have allowed me to deliver success in both my personal and professional life. And today, as a financial leader, I am still designing, building, and fixing all kinds of things, and I still love doing it.
