ABOUT IZZY SPINLEY

Hi, My name is Izzy and I am looking for a challenging job where I can make genuine positive change environmentally and socially. Pairing professional experiences with personal achievements as a professional swimmer, I know I have the knowledge, dedication, organisation and commitment required to make positive change in the industry.In 2022 I graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class BSc degree (Fashion Technology). This degree covered covered core business skills, like marketing, management and buying but specialised in fashion technology during the final year. I also worked alongside studying for a fashion traceability company called PaperTale as their UK representative and marketing assistant. This fine tuned my ability to stay organised with a large workload and helped me develop skills in content & article writing, social media content creation, sales pitching and brand on-boarding. Through my dissertation project (which actively tested a collaboration between PaperTale & Focus-brands) I was also able to work closely with Focus\' head of sustainability to understand their processes and how they meet sustainability targets which was a fantastic learning experience. Since graduating I have been working as a kindergarten teacher in Thailand, which has pushed me in a whole new way. I\'ve had to be creative to engage with different audiences and overcome communication barriers. I have also done things I never thought I would do like learning to drive a scooter on some of the worlds most dangerous roads.(hopefully my mum isn\'t reading this).Some key achievements over my career so far include - I competed at an international level as a swimmer including for GB in Israel and England in France (done while still attending school)- I\'ve written articles for sources like the Vegan Lifestyle magazine and The Interline (the Interline has a reach of readers).
