EHS AdvisorArabelle Solutions – Hinkley Point C ProjectSomerset, United Kingdom As an EHS Advisor on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project – one of Europe’s largest and most complex nuclear construction sites – I was responsible for supporting the safe and compliant delivery of works within the turbine hall and associated development areas.My role combined day-to-day site presence, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to maintain a strong safety culture across multi-contractor environments. I ensured compliance with UK legislation, Arabelle Solutions/NNB standards, and project-specific procedures, while driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.Key responsibilities included- Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring actions were closed in project systems (e.g, Insight, ComplyWorks)- Developing, reviewing, and managing the RAMS schedule for our scope of works- Overseeing the Work Authorisation and Permit to Work processes for high-risk activities- Incident handling, supporting investigations, reporting, and ensuring corrective actions were implemented- Contributing to emergency preparedness planning, including drills in line with NNB standards- Delivering EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings to reinforce safe behaviours- Collaborating with the principal contractor (NNB), subcontractors to ensure effective coordination and communication across multiple work fronts- Promoting a positive safety culture through daily engagement, proactive intervention, and visible leadership on construction site.
